I got into
motorcycles late in life. My first bike came when I was 31. It was a 2001 Suzuki SV650S. Unfortunately I don't
have any pictures left of it but it left a lasting impression of that smooth V-twin power! I then step up to a
2005 GSXR 750. Great bike but we never really came to terms with each other. "Try to kill me once, shame on you.
Try to kill me twice shame on me...........", you know how that goes!! January '08 I acquired the current ride: 1998
Honda VTR1000 Super Hawk. This bike has 23,500 miles on it with plenty left. I really haven't got to stretch it's
legs yet but a couple a trips across Dump Rd. have me itching to go. The bike has Jardine High Mount pipes and a K&N
Stage one jet kit. Tires are Mets. I'll finish them off and then go back to some Pilot Roads or Shinkos.
Just need time to ride and get a feel for it.
For my testimony.
I was saved at age 12 one summer while at a Christian summer camp. I distinctly remember the Holy Spirit calling me
the night before at chapel service but I didn't go. It was one of those couldn't eat, couldn't sleep or anything until
the next night when I couldn't stay in my seat at the invitation. But my testimony has two parts. I got
saved at 12 but as I grew into a young adult my walk wasn't where it was supposed to be with the Lord. So finally the
Lord took out the "Holy 2X4" and hit me with it. So, if you want to hear the rest of the story you'll have to come on
a Triad Chapter ride sometime in 2008! Lets Ride.
